Gin & Juice

Not too long ago Oprah had David Murdock (Dole) and a few others on her show. It was about health and longevity. He is supposed to live to be over a 100years. His diet is fish and juicing.

Our health gurus are sure we need 5-9 serving of fruits and vegetables per day. You may not have the stomach for 9 servings/day. But a glass or two of vegetable juice may help you get it.

Juicing will make you healthier. Juicing increases the absorption of the contents of vegetables. Juicing vegetables gives you enzymes, minerals , vitamins, anti-oxidants, all the good stuff your body needs for healthy living. It is a wonderful way to energize and alkalize your body.

If you are a diabetic, fruit juice (including carrots and beets) may increase insulin levels so stick with vegetables. Vegetables juice plays a vital role in stabilizing blood sugar.

Dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach, kale and cabbage are most beneficial. Cabbage is said to be an excellent healing juice. Broccoli, cauliflower or any other vegetable of your choice can be used.

Cucumber contains potassium and helps maintain healthy skin. It also helps lower blood pressure. carrots and celery has vitamins A,K, and C and a lot more.

Choose the vegetables you would like to juice according to your present health conditions. Introduce fruit to enhance taste. Granny Smith apples, dark grapes or even ginger would make good choices.

Keep changing the vegetables so the flavor is different each time and your body gets a different dose of vitamins and minerals each time.

Some of you could try a new cocktail. Gin and juice.. If you must and if that is the only way you will drink you vegetables. Hey, I would like to know how it works...
Use organic if you can and never say its too much work to wash pounds of vegetables and the jucing machine

Remember the is no comprimise for good health
